After leading Southeastern in nearly every major offensive category Evan Ramsey has been named second team All-Central Region as a utility player by the National College Baseball Writers Association.
Ramsey, a sophomore designated hitter from Denison, Texas, led the team offensively in the season in the triple-crown categories, posting a .356 average with eight home runs and 35 RBI.
His average was ranked seventh in the conference. He carried a .597 slugging percentage and posted a .433 on-base percentage while scoring a team-high 37 runs and chipping in a pair of triples.
Ramsey was also a first team All-Great American Conference selection as a DH.
The Savage Storm finished the season with a 23-20 record overall and a 15-15 mark in league play.
