SE's Springer, Crenshaw Earn All-GAC Honors

Southeastern outfielder Chevis Springer and pitcher Mason Crenshaw were each named second team All-Great American Conference following the conclusion of the 2014 season.

Springer, a senior from Paris, Texas, paced the Storm on offense throughout the season, finishing the year with a .302 average. He collected 51 hits with 34 runs scored, seven doubles, four triples, a home run and 15 RBI.

He slugged .408 and carried a .382 on-base percentage and was second on the team in steals with 17 on the year while carrying a .972 fielding percentage with three outfield assists from his center field position.

Crenshaw, a junior from Red Oak, Okla., was the highlight of the SE pitching staff with an impressive 7-1 record with nine saves in 21 appearances, all in relief.

He boasted a 2.16 ERA in 58.1 innings pitched and allowed just 14 earned runs on the season, while striking out 61 opposing hitters and holding opponents to a .216 batting average.

The Storm completed the season with a 23-21 record overall and finished seventh in the GAC after sweeping East Central in the final three games of the season.
