Southeastern will open the regular part of its home schedule as well as its Great American Conference home schedule when it hosts rival East Central at 7 p.m. on Sept. 27 in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.
The Savage Storm are coming off a 3-1 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State that lifted them to 6-4 overall and evened the GAC record at 1-1.
A trio of attackers turned in double-digit kill outings in that contest, led by Emily Gentle with 20, while Courtney Miller added 13 and Megan Kunkel chipped in 10.
Gentle paces the offense overall with 4.27 kills per set, while Kunkel averages over 3.00 per set.
Madelynne Cera is handing out 9.53 assists per set at the setter position, while chipping in all around with 1.39 kills per set, 2.40 digs per set and six blocks on the year.
The back row is anchored on defense by Taylor Benner who is averaging 3.65 digs per set, while Kunkel is right behind at 3.32, while at the net Ariel Sanders has racked up 21 blocks on the season.
The Tigers enter the contest at 4-6 on the year, but are 1-0 in GAC play after posting a 3-0 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 24.
ECU is led on offense by Hayley Gerken who is averaging 2.47 kills per set, while Jessica Wilkerson handles the setting duties primarily to the tune of 5.55 assists per set.
Taylor Brown is picking up 3.57 digs per set on the back row, while Sarah Nelson has 40 blocks on the year at the net.
