Women’s Basketball Takes Time Out for Special Olympics

Despite getting ready for the semifinals of the Great American Conference Championship Tournament, the East Central University women’s basketball team and the rest of the teams from the GAC took time out this morning to go bowling with the Special Olympic students from the local area.

The Lady Tigers woke up early after playing in the late game of the quarterfinals to bowl with the students. ECU split their time between the Wayside Elementary and Jane Phillips Elementary groups at the Red Apple Lanes.

The Lady Tigers will continue their 2012-13 season, Saturday, March 9 at 2:30 p.m. when they face Arkansas Tech in the GAC Semifinals at Bruin Field House.
