For the second-straight week, East Central University softball senior Ali Manship has been recognized for her play on the field by the Great American Conference. Last week Manship was named the GAC Pitcher of the Week and for the week of Feb. 12 she has now been named the GAC Player of the Week.

Softball Picks Up Two Wins at Tarleton State Tournament

The East Central University softball team added two wins to their season total in the first day of the Tarleton State Tournament. The Lady Tigers (5-2) claimed an 8-4 win in the first game of the day over Texas-Permian Basin and then earned a 13-5 win in five innings over Oklahoma Panhandle State.

Women’s Basketball Earns Last Second Win at Arkansas-Monticello

The East Central University women’s basketball team trailed for most of the game at Arkansas-Monticello, but ended up coming back to earn a last-second 63-61 win over the Cotton Blossoms (4-16, 2-13 GAC) in Great American Conference action. The win allowed the Lady Tigers (17-4, 12-3 GAC) to remain in first place alone in the GAC standings.
