’Roo Baseball Drops Doubleheader against Occidental

The Austin College baseball team fell in both halves of its season opening doubleheader against Occidental College on Saturday, falling 7-4 in game one before dropping a 17-4 decision in game two. The ‘Roos are now 0-2 and will be looking to rebound with another doubleheader against the Tigers tomorrow morning.

Baseball Splits Opening Series with St. Gregory’s

The East Central University baseball team opened the 2013 season at Tiger Field and split a pair of games with St. Gregory’s. The Cavaliers (1-1) earned a 1-10 win in the opening game, but the Tigers (1-1) responded with a 15-7 win in a six inning game. The win was a come-from-behind win, with ECU scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth.

The East Central University softball team started the 2013 season and the St. Mary’s Tournament with a split. The Lady Tigers (1-1) fell in the opener to Angelo State, 6-4, and then rebounded with a 3-0 win over Tarleton State.
