The East Central University women’s basketball team has announced the signing of two student-athletes to the 2013-14 roster. The Lady Tigers are adding Alexa Adair (Edmond, Okla.) and Kendal Rogers (Davis, Okla.).

Briana Hernandez, Sophia Hernandez, Charlotte Trudell, Chelsea Delaney, Jenny Dowsey, Heather Farquhar, Mallory Rossmann, and Taylor Steelman also earned All-SCAC honors.

Southeastern head coach Jenn King has announced the singing of Caitlyn Mills, Julia Benford and Maggie Benson who will join the Savage Storm volleyball program for the 2013 season.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – No. 3 Southeastern scored runs in each of the last four innings and added a 2013 Great American Tournament Championship to its regular season title by earning a 6-2 win over Henderson State in the finals in Bentonville, Ark.

SOSU Golf Headed to NCAA Regional Tournament

For the first time under head coach Don Hudson, Southeastern golf has earned a trip to the Central region tournament which will be held at The Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wisc., May 6-8.

New Turf At Norris Field Being Put Down

After the new turf project at Norris Field at East Central University started in February, the actual turf in now being laid. The project started with the removal of the old grass field surface, level and layers of sand and rock being laid.

Southeastern Rallies for First Round Win Over SWOSU

No. 3 Southeastern rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the bottom of the second inning against Southwestern Oklahoma State with Jessica Simmons stealing home with two outs to pick up a 3-2 walk-off victory in the first round of the Great American Conference Tournament.

Seven members of the East Central University softball team collected honors at the 2013 Great American Conference Softball Banquet, on the eve of the 2013 GAC Championship Tournament. The East Central University baseball team will play its final games of the 2013 season, April 26-27 when they host Southeastern Oklahoma State for a three-game Great American Conference series. The Tigers and the Savage Storm will battle in a single game, Friday, April 26 at 2 p.m. and through a double-header, Saturday, April 27 starting at 1 p.m.

For the fourth-straight season the East Central University softball team will be competing in its league championship tournament, as the Lady Tigers (39-11, 23-7 GAC) claimed the No. 2 seed in the 2013 Great American Conference Championship Tournament, April 25-27 in Bentonville, Ark. ECU will open the tournament with a match up with No. 7 Ouachita Baptist, Thursday, April 25 at noon at Tiger Athletic Complex in the double-elimination tournamementnt.

Southeastern Sweep Wraps Up GAC Championship

No. 4 Southeastern piled up 25 hits over two games and used a Friday sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma State to secure its first regular season Great American Conference championship, posting a 10-0 win in game one and finishing the day with a 9-3 win in the nightcap in Alva, Okla.
