Nolan Ryan is exploring the possibility of changing the Rangers AAA team from Oklahoma City to Round Rock.
"I would say there's a high probability that Round Rock would replace Oklahoma City as our Triple-A franchise," Ryan said in an interview with ESPN. "Corpus Christi is entrenched in Astro country and Frisco is very important to us, so we anticipate leaving Corpus as an Astro franchise."
The move would completely take the Rangers presence out of Oklahoma. The Rangers had a AA team in Tulsa before aligning with the Frisco Rough Riders.
Ryan is a part of the ownership group that owns the Round Rock Express.
