Storm Fall to Dallas Baptist, 3-1

10-3-07 - The Southeastern Oklahoma State University volleyball team (4-14) got 24 kills from Jordan Parks, but were unable to capitalize in a 3-1 loss to Dallas Baptist (7-9) on Wednesday night at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The Storm won game one 30-27, but despite playing a very even match, dropped the final three games, 30-27, 30-24 and 30-26, respectively.

Parks led all attackers with 24 kills, hitting .321, while Destiny Brown registered another double-double with 18 kills and 20 digs.

"We got huge games out of Jordan [Parks] and Destiny [Brown]," Said SOSU head coach Skip Freeman.

Defensively, Brown led the way, while Kristen Stevens added 17 digs and Krista Stamp posted 12.

Lindsay Ellisor triggered the offense, turning in a 55 assist effort.

"One of the positives," said Freeman, "Is that we are showing our youth, but they aren't giving up. "

The Storm will be back in action on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium
