10-3-07 - Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is proud to announce that the Whitesboro Bearcats have been named the Army Strong Team of the Week for Division 3A.
The Bearcats were chosen for this honor because of their commitment to loyalty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, personal courage and teamwork.
“Beating a team in the top 10 is the epitome of being Army Strong and worthy of the Army Strong Team of the Week award,” said Adam Hochfelder, general manager of Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
The award will be presented to the team at a time to be determined later this week.
“The U.S. Army is very proud of the student-athletes at Whitesboro who demonstrate the qualities exhibited within the Army – those include leadership, commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference as a member of a team,” said Captain William Zielinski, Frisco Recruiting Company Commander. “Who knows? We just might see some of these guys from the Bearcats playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, or the college level, or maybe the pros.”
Football players and Soldiers share similar values, such as teamwork, dedication, discipline and loyalty.
