Bobcats back again

ABILENE, TX -- They're back.

For the 3rd time in as many years, the Ceilna Bobcats will be playing for a state title. They defeated Snyder today 33-7 over at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene to advance to the Texas 3A, Division II State Championship game.

Celina (15-0) will take on China Spring (14-1) Saturday at Texas Stadium, game time still to be determined.

Things started well for the Bobcats as Snyder fumbled the opening kick-off and Celina took over on the 23 yard line. A 16 yard Charlie Waldrep run a few plays later made it 6-0.

Snyder would get their only score of the ball game when Will Clay broke off a 32 yard scamper to make it 14-7 Celina in the first quarter.

But, as has been the case so far on their playoff run this year, this game was never really in doubt. The Bobcats shut out Snyder in the 2nd half en route to the 26 point win.

The Bobcats won the 2A, Division II Title back in 2005, and lost the 3A, D-II Title to Liberty Hill last year. The Bobcats are 46-1 over the last 3 seasons.
