Southeastern's struggles continue in Lawton, 72-51

1-23-08 - The Southeastern Oklahoma State men's basketball team (3-14, 0-2 LSC-N) played the No. 12 ranked team in the nation to a 24-24 tie at halftime, but Southwestern Oklahoma State (15-3, 3-0 LSC-N) took an early lead in the second half and pulled away down the stretch to hand the Savage Storm a 72-51 loss in Weatherford ,Okla., on Wednesday night.

Kyric Rambo and JR Moody each dropped 14 points on the game, while Ken Reed chipped in 13 points.

Reed also led the Savage Storm with nine boards, while Nate Pope added eight.

SOSU jumped to an early 13-0 lead with 15:50 to play before the Bulldogs got on the board.

The Storm maintained a double-digit lead until SWOSU used a 9-0 run in the final five minutes to knot the score at 24-24 at halftime.

The second half was all Southwestern, as SOSU was outscored 48-27 in the second half to pull away and hand the Storm a 72-51 loss.

Southeastern will next be in action on Saturday as it continues its road-swing in Commerce, Texas, for a 4 p.m. contest at Texas A&M-Commerce.
