G.A. Moore has retired as the all time winningest coach in the history of Texas high school football.
Moore finished out an outstanding career at Aubrey High School, but was best known for winning 8 state championships. He won 2 as the head coach of Pilot Point, then went on to win 6 more in Celina.
Moore racked up a 423-97 record over a 45 year career. He led Celina to 57 consecutive wins between 1998 and 2001.
His retirement comes just a week after Butch Ford retired at Celina, who replaced Moore as head coach of the Bobcats.
G.A. Moore is leaving the game at the age of 73.
