A+Athlete: Jacey Ford

MILL CREEK, Okla. -- To honor this week's A+ Athlete, Christina Melvin headed to Mill Creek, Oklahoma, to meet Jacey Ford.

This week’s A+ Athlete is Jacey Ford from Mill Creek High School. Jacey is a three-sport athlete. She was a state qualifier in golf last year. In softball and basketball, she was both Freshman and Rookie Of The Year. She later made the conference all-star team in basketball.

Jacey is following the path of success, maintaining a 3.71 grade point average, and she is in the top 10 percentile of her class. Jacey is on the principal’s honor roll and belongs to the Oklahoma Honor Society. Between academics and athletics, her coaches are amazed by how much Jacey gets done.

But Jacey has more to juggle than just schoolwork and practice, she sings in the choir and grabs the mic for the national anthem at basketball games. She also spends any extra time as an office aide. With all that she does, her coaches just know she'll be a success.

Congratulations to Kacey Ford on being named this week’s A+ Athlete.

We'll introduce you to another A+ Athlete every Friday here on First News AM. School officials, coaches, teachers, and counselors are encouraged to send in your nominees.
