After run-ruling the Foxes of Caddo Mills on Thursday, the Gunter Tigers got the win again tonight, 6-4. The Tigers advance to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

Gunter will take on the winner of the 3-game series between Bells and Corsicana Mildred. Bells fell in Game 1 tonight 6-5. Game 2 (and 3 if necessary) is set for tomorrow.

In softball, the Lady Rams of S&S High School are on to the Region II Semi-finals. They dispensed with Ponder today with relative ease. The Lady Lions didn't score a single run as they were swept in their best of 3 series by S&S 1-0 and 6-0. The Lady Rams will face the Crawford/Brock winner next week.

The Lady Cats of Tom Bean were not as fortunate. Coach Lance Cherry's squad fell to Aubrey tonight 7-1 and is eliminated from the post season. An injury plagued season comes to an end for Tom Bean at the hands of the Lady Chaps this evening in Allen, TX.
