The Silo Rebels have won their fifth state championship by beating Oktaha, 13-2, in a run rule. Silo only needed 6 innings to complete the 2007-2008 school year sweep.

Trevor Bowen hit a walk-off 3 run home run to end the game. The blast delivered a second state baseball title to Silo, after the team won another title in the fall.

The Rebels beat Wright City in the state quarterfinals on Friday, before knocking off Central Sallisaw on Saturday. That set up Monday's state championship game win over Oktaha.

Must have struck a nerve with KXII about Bowen recruiting. I see my comment didn't get published. Interesting .....

Way to go Rebs. What a way to win it. A walk-off home run by the coach's kid.
