An impressive season for the S&S softball team came to an end today in Austin. The Lady Rams lost to Coahoma in the 2A State Semi-final game 1-0, at McCombs field in Austin.
The Lady Bulldogs pushed across the game's only run in the 1st Inning. S&S pitcher Angela White struck out the side in the 1st, but in between those strikeouts, Coahoma managed a couple of hits and took a 1-0 lead that held up the rest of the game.
White recorded 15 strikeouts on the day which is 1 shy of the 2A State Tournament record. The S&S offense though, was not as impressive. The Lady Rams managed just 1 hit off Coahoma in the entire game.
S&S's season comes to an end with an overall record of 30-5. It's their best record in school history. It was Coahoma's 10th appearance in the state tournament, they will play for the 2A championship Saturday morning.
