2-21-06 - The Lindsay Knights hired former Gunter standout Cody Bounds to be their head football coach and athletic director. Bounds comes over from Prosper High School, where he was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. Dr. Jason Ceyanes recommended and the school board approved a contract for Bounds during Monday's board meeting. Lindsay ISD says Bounds was their choice all along. “Cody Bounds was by far the most qualified applicant and is exactly what Lindsay ISD needs during this time of transition. Anytime you have a change in leadership, emotions can run high with the staff, parents, and community. I am confident that Coach Bounds will help unite our community and provide a structured program that will assist our athletics in continuing to strive toward excellence both on the field and in the classroom," Ceyanes said. Bounds was a standout athlete at Gunter in the early 90's in football, basketball, and baseball. Lindsay is his first head coaching job.
