After a tough weekend at the Southwestern Invitational in Georgetown in which they lost both of their matches, the Austin College volleyball team slipped to No. 24 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll that was released today.
The ’Roos fell to McMurry and Heidelberg during their trip, bringing their record for the week to 1-2 and their overall record to 7-4. Prior to heading to Georgetown, the ’Roos took on the University of Texas-Tyler in a home match and cruised to a 3-0 victory.
This week the ’Roos will be looking for a bit of redemption when they host the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference West/Central Crossover Tournament.
