Three former Oklahoma State baseball players have been elected to OSU's Baseball Hall of Fame.
Danny Thompson, Billy Gasparino and Josh Fields are to be inducted during a banquet on Feb. 1.
Thompson played at OSU in 1967-68 and was an All-American. He later played professionally for Minnesota and Texas before his death at age 29 in 1976 after battling leukemia.
Gasparino played at OSU from 1997-99 and still holds the Big 12 record for career runs scored. He is now director of scouting for the San Diego Padres.
Fields was a two-sport star at OSU from 2002-04 and has spent five seasons in the major leagues. He played for the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies in 2013.
