Southeastern’s (17-6, 8-2 LSC-N) Destiny Brown has been named the Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Week for the second time this season, as released by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Brown averaged a double-double last week in leading Southeastern to wins over Northeastern State and No. 13 Central Oklahoma.
Brown posted 21.0 ppg and 13.0 rpg for the week, turning in double-doubles in both contests, bringing her season total to 15. She poured in a career-high 32 points in SE’s 83-78 win over NSU. She also added 13 rebounds in that contest.
For the week she also dished out 2.5 assists per game and had a steal in each contest. She shot 48.3 percent from the field, including a 50.0 percent mark from behind the three-point line.
Southeastern will next be in action when it travels to Weatherford, Okla., to face Southwestern Oklahoma State with tip off set for 6 p.m.
