Tough night for Celina, both teams face elimination

The Celina Bobcats are one of the few teams in the state with their baseball and softball team still playing. Thursday is a night both teams would like to forget.

The Celina baseball team had an early 1-0 advantage over Princeton in their series opener. But the Panthers scored four unanswered runs to take game 1, 4-1. The two teams will meet again at McKinney Boyd High School on Saturday at 1pm. Celina must win both games to advance.

The Celina softball battled undefeated Van to a 3-2 final in Duncanville. They will return there on Saturday needing to win twice to win the series.
