MCKINNEY, TX – The Lindsay Lady Knights softball team needed two victories on Saturday to ensure a trip to the state tournament and they did just that, sweeping North Hopkins in the doubleheader.
Lindsay lost on Wednesday night 6-3, putting the Lady Knight in a big 0-1 hole. But after winning Game 2 in convincing fashion 5-1, Lindsay had to gut out a Game 3 win, squeaking by North Hopkins 3-2.
Games 2 and 3 were played in McKinney, Texas. The state tournament begins next week down in Austin.
