A total of 52 students-athletes from East Central University have been named to the 2012-13 Great American Conference All-Academic Team. The student-athletes are part of a group of 470 members from across the GAC, with the 52 Tiger student-athletes accounting for the second-most of any league school.
The ECU soccer team had the most representatives, with 11. Baseball and softball each had six; men’s cross country and men’s tennis had five; women’s cross country and women’s golf each had four; women’s basketball, women’s tennis and volleyball all had three; and football and men’s golf each had a single representative.

In addition, their grade-point average must be a cumulative minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system.
