Justin Pitrucha is back in the Southeastern starting lineup. Ray Richards told KXII that he will start Pitrucha for the first time next Saturday when the Storm host Northwestern.
Pitrucha came off the bench in the Storm's 33-14 loss to #2 ranked Abilene Chrstian. He was effective, completing 24-34 passes for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Pitrucha hasn't started a college football game in two and a half years. He missed the 2007 season due to academic reasons and missed 2008 after being arrested on drug charges.
Richards says that Pitrucha has done everything asked of him to put himself in position to get another chance to start at quarterback. "I think the team responded well (to Pitrucha), so we're going to go with him this week and see what happens," Richards said. "He moved the team and he did well. It's like any other position, if you've got one guy that's playing better at that point in the season, you make a change."
