Coalgate's state title bid ends in semifinals

The Coalgate Lady Wildcats bid to win a state championship came up just short after falling in Friday's state semifinals.
Washington beat Coalgate, 53-27, on the campus of Southern Nazarene University. It was Coalgate's second consecutive trip to the state semifinals. They lost a year ago in the very same game.
The Lady Cats were one of two teams from Coalgate to make it to state. The boys basketball team was eliminated on Thursday in the quarterfinal round.
