3-28-07 - The Collinsville School Board accepted the resignation of girls basketball coach Bobby Stastny on Wednesday night.
Stastny resigned under some controversial circumstances. According to sources, the reason for his resignation involved questionable ethics, believed to involve recruiting violations.
The board accepted his resignation with a 5-0-2 vote. Despite rumors that athletic director Danny David would resign if Stastny was forced out appear to have turned out false. Sources say that David plans on staying with the Collinsville program.
