5-26-07 - Jacob Priday and Brock Bond combine to
drive in nine runs as Missouri routs Oklahoma State 13-1 today
in both teams' final game in the Big 12 Conference baseball
Missouri and OSU both had already been eliminated from
title-game contention after each lost their first two pool-play
games to Oklahoma and Baylor.
Missouri is 40-and-16 overall while OSU is 38-and-19. Priday staked the Tigers to an early lead with a two-run first-inning double, and hit a three-run home run during a five-run fourth-inning outburst.
Bond, who went 4-for-5, had a two-run single during the fourth
and also had run-scoring singles in the second and fifth innings. Rick Zagone moved to 7-and-2, allowing five hits and struck out six in six innings for Missouri.
OSU starter Martin Beno fell to 1-and-3, lasting just 1-and-two-thirds innings. The game was shortened to seven innings because of the run rule.
Ty Wright and Keanon Simon had two hits each for the Cowboys.
