Cosper out as Sherman baseball coach

The coaching changes continue at Sherman High School with baseball coach Gary Cosper being reassigned.

Cosper has spent the last twelve years at Sherman High. He has been the head coach for the last seven seasons. Cosper's Bearcats have been to the playoffs three times in those years. Sherman is coming off a 20-10 record, but failed to win a play-in game to get into the post-season.

By KXII's count, Cosper is the 12th coach to leave Sherman since Gary Kinne took over as athletic director. Last month, boys basketball coach Jeff McCullough left to take a job in Norman. Girls basketball coach Alan Pope was let go.

The Sherman football team has lost many of their assistants with only two (Clay Sims and Brent Graham) remaining in tact from last year's staff.

Kinne came in just before the school year and did not have time to assemble his own coaching staff before the start of the 2009 football season.
