Blue Ridge Softball rallies to beat Mart, advance to state championship

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Brooke Deckard's two-run triple keyed a four-run fifth inning, sending the Blue Ridge Tigers to a 4-3 win over Mart in the Class 1A softball state semifinals.

Haleigh Price got the win for Blue Ridge (30-10), scattering seven hits and striking out two Thursday.

Mart (21-4) led 2-0 after Cheyenne Goodnight's double drove in a run in the fourth inning before Blue Ridge rallied. Mart pulled within one on Lexxi Davenport's RBI in the seventh before Price closed it out.
