According to KXII sources, Austin College head baseball coach Carl Iwasaki is leaving the Roos to take over the baseball program at Northern Coloado.

For Iwasaki, this is a significant jump to a division one university, and a move to familiar territory. Iwasaki played college baseball at Northern Colorado.

Iwasaki led Austin College to the SCAC championship in 2007. He has also been named conference coach of the year twice while at A.C.

When contacted Tuesday afternoon, Austin College would not confirm or deny the report. Sources say Iwasaki could be introduced at Northern Colorado as early as Wednesday.
