Southeastern women's basketball coach Darin Grover has announced the addition of Kaylie Baxter who will join the Savage Storm roster for the 2013-14 season.
Baxter, a 5-10 guard/forward combo, transfers to Southeastern after spending one season at Murray State Junior College.
As a freshman starter she averaged 11 points and seven rebounds while helping MSC to one of the best seasons it has put together in three decades.
“Kaylie will give us a player that has a year of experience at the college level,” said Grover. “She started every game and played a lot of minutes during Murray State's best season in over 30 years.”
“Kaylie's ability to shoot the ball and rebound,” he continued, “Are two areas that I believe really set her apart. She plays with the type of toughness and effort that we really emphasize here at SE.”
Baxter is a 2012 graduate of Durant High School and spent her one season at MSC playing under Southeastern Hall of Famer and former WNBA star Crystal Robinson.
