The Dallas Cowboys get a little extra time to savor their season-opening victory.
After their unprecedented midweek opener, coach Jason Garrett said Thursday the "funny week" meant they wouldn't get together as a team until Friday to watch the film of their 24-17 victory at the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants. That victory came eight months after their previous season ended with a loss at the same place.
Garrett says winning the game doesn't mean everything is right, and that the team will take a critical look at the game.
The coach wouldn't compare about what last year's team failed to do against the Giants, as opposed to what this team did.
Still, it was a good start.
The Cowboys don't play again until Sept. 16 at Seattle.
