DAVIS, OK - The Davis Wolves are back in the championship game after defeating Vian, 56-39 last week and will face top-ranked Millwood.
"For us to come this far, and get to play in the state championship," said senior Braden Ruth. "It will be my third, three out of four years ain't bad."
The Davis Wolves will be making their second straight appearance in the championship game, and third in four seasons.
"It's hard to keep healthy, it's hard to stay together," said head coach Jody Weber. "I think our kids have a very strong will, about a strong will bunch as any team I've been around. They just won't take no for an answer."
The Wolves have navigated their way through the tournament, taking down Frederick, Christian Heritage, Adair, Vian, and up next is Millwood.
"Their intimitading, nothing we can't handle," said senior Drew Melton. "Their fast, big and strong, but I'd like to think we are too."
Davis will be hoping third time is the charm and be looking to bring back the gold ball back home for the first time since 1995.
"We don't try to think about last year, and the loss," said senior Ruth. "Were just doing everything we can to prepare ourselves for Thursday."
A late schedule change moved the game to Thursday, meaning less time for preparation. The game kicksoff at 7 pm at Moore High School.
