ECU Women’s Tennis Falls at Arkansas Tech

The East Central University women’s tennis team fell 0-9 to No. 29 Arkansas Tech in Great American Conference action at the Chartwell’s Women’s Sports Complex.

The Lady Tigers (5-13, 2-2 GAC) fought hard through the doubles matches. Junior Aurelie Rodriguez and senior Agostina Moran battled to a 6-8 loss with Bohdana Sardak and Olga Leyshyna at No. 2 doubles. Junior Elizabeth Dignard and freshman Julia Municoy also battled, but fell 5-8 to Nozomi Matsuoka and Tamara Bell at No. 1 doubles.

The match was the third-straight road match for ECU, who will return to Mayhue Courts for a 2 p.m. GAC match with Southeastern Oklahoma State, Thursday, April 10. The Lady Tigers will then host Harding, Saturday, March 12 at 9 a.m. in their final league match of the season.
