Former Oklahoma State wrestler Tyler Caldwell has won a world championship.
OSU said in a news release that Caldwell defeated Russia's Shamil-Imam Osmanov in the finals of the 163 pound division of the University World Championships Tuesday in Pecs, Hungary.
Caldwell won three matches to claim the title. He was a four-time All-American and a two-time NCAA finalist while in college.
Fellow former Cowboy Chris Perry will wrestle Wednesday at 189 pounds.
