Four ’Roos Named Women’s Soccer All-SCAC

Austin College seniors Lauren Scott and Maddy Millender have been named first team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers, while junior Anna Claire Cooke was named second team All-SCAC and junior Dominique Martinez was an honorable mention selection, the league office has announced.

Scott, a forward from Coppell, led the ‘Roos with eight goals and two assists for a total of 18 points this season. She also had the most shots and was tied for most shots on goal, and had two game winning tallies during the season.

Millender, a midfielder from Rockwall, scored a goal and had two assists for a total of four points from her primarily defensive position. She had 16 shots, including six shots on goal over the course of the year.

Cooke, a defender from Abilene, started all 20 games as the anchor of a defensive unit that had four shutouts this season. Martinez, a defender from the Woodlands, also started all 20 games as one of the team’s top defenders and scored one goal this year.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
