Leonard, S&S ready for rematch

SADLER, TX - The Class 2A Regional doesn't get any better than this with two teams from the 7-2A district going head to head for the second time this season.

"Feels great to be part of the sweet sixteen," said Leonard senior Justin Bennett. "I m honored to be part of that group."

The Leonard Tigers and S&S Rams are set for a rematch in the third round after both schools took care of business in the first two.

"The kids really believe in what were preaching and the really have sold out and tried to do everything we've ask them to do," said S&S head coach Garrett Patterson.

The 7-2A district contenders played a close game back in early November with S&S prevailing 19-16. The second go-around is expected to be just as close.

"It's a second chance," said senior Leonard Titus Solomon. "Leonard's never really got to play them two times in a row. I think it's a sign we can really beat them."

The Tigers and Rams will kickoff the third round in Allen at Eagle Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff at 1 p.m.
