For the second-straight week, East Central University softball senior Ali Manship has been recognized for her play on the field by the Great American Conference. Last week Manship was named the GAC Pitcher of the Week and for the week of Feb. 12 she has now been named the GAC Player of the Week.
The Harrah, Okla., native won the Player of the Week honor after sharing the MVP award at the Tarleton State Invitational. Over the four-game tournament, she hit .600, 9-for-15, with five home runs, nine RBI and eight runs scored. In addition, she appeared in two games as a pitcher and earned a win against Oklahoma Panhandle State.
The Lady Tigers are set to play Northeastern Oklahoma State, Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Lady Tiger Field as the first home games of the 2013 season.
