MUENSTER, TX - The last few years Muenster has been known for it's football, but recently the basketball program has been creating success of their own, headed to the state tournament for the first time in program history.
"It's amazing, it's something you work all your life for," said head coach Lynn Cook.
"It's always great to make history, especially to be the first team in your school to ever take a team down there," said junior forward Lyndon Cook.
Compiling a 27-2 record, head coach Cook has his squad just two wins away from winning a title. If it happens on Saturday it will be the first championship in any sport for Muenster High School.
"We all know that this chance may never come again, so were going to do everything in our power to take advantage of it," said coach Cook.
Muenster will tip off the state tournament on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. against Grapeland.
