Line: Oklahoma by 23 1/2 .

Series Record: Oklahoma leads 70-27-6.

The Sooners are trying to bounce back from their Red River rout at the hands of rival Texas, while the Jayhawks are still trying to end a 23-game Big 12 losing streak. The Sooners have won 14 straight in games played after the Longhorns, including a 6-0 mark against Kansas.

Oklahoma QB Blake Bell vs. the Kansas defense. Bell, who grew up in Wichita, Kan., has proven he's more than just a short-yardage runner over the last few weeks. He's completing 64.6 percent of his passes for 968 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. He'll be facing a pass defense in the Jayhawks that has struggled against air-based teams such as Texas Tech.

Oklahoma: LB Dominique Alexander took over last week for Corey Nelson, who had season-ending surgery to repair a torn left pectoral muscle, and filled in admirably. The freshman linebacker had 19 tackles against the Longhorns, the most by an Oklahoma player since Travis Lewis also had 19 stops in the 2008 version of the Red River Rivalry. Alexander will be facing a Kansas offense that is predicated on running the ball behind James Sims and Darrian Miller.

Kansas: QB Jake Heaps has struggled to move the Jayhawks' offense all season. The former BYU starter is completing just 52.6percent of his throws and only once has thrown for more than 200 yards in a game this season. Kansas coach Charlie Weis took the air out of the ball last week against TCU in an attempt to cut down on turnovers, but the result was that Heaps threw for just 152 yards.
