Oklahoma adds high-school guard from Georgia

Oklahoma has added a high-school guard from Georgia to its recruiting class for next season.

Coach Lon Kruger announced Friday that 6-foot-4 guard Frank Booker had signed a national letter of intent to play for the Sooners. Booker averaged 27.9 points and made four 3-pointers per game as a senior with Westside High School in Augusta, Ga., last year.

Kruger says Booker is known for his 3-point shooting "but he's really just a good all-around basketball player who loves to work."

Booker is the second addition to the Sooners' recruiting class in as many days.

On Thursday, Oklahoma signed 6-foot-10 forward Edson Avila (ah-VEE'-la) from Seward County Community College in Kansas. Avila averaged 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds as a sophomore last season.
