Plainview and Lone Grove Square Off for District Title

The Lone Grove-Plainview Rivalry is heating up.

The two schools are located about 5 miles apart, and as of now are in a dead heat for the district title.

Plainview is a perfect 9-0, and would like to keep that unbeaten streak going.

"It feels good, because it was a goal we set before the season to go undefeated as long as we could," said Plainview running back Austin Carrera.

Lone Grove isn't far behind. After losing their first game of the season, the Longhorns have reeled off 8 straight.

"We're the the first team to do it in school history," says Lone Grove wide receiver Tanner Vernon, "It feels press good."

It will be an intense match-up between a Plainview team that allows less than eight points a game, and a Lone Grove offense that averages 50.

The teams will kick off at Plainview Stadium at 7:30 this Friday night. Winner will be crowned district champion.
