SE was paced by a freshman in its first outing as Breana Small-Peppers posted 22 points off the bench in 20 minutes to lead the offense. She shot 8-of-10 from the field and added six free throws.
She was joined in double-figures by Ronay English who added 12 points in the outing.
English and Emily Williams each pulled down six rebounds to lead the team as the squad racked up 43 rebounds on the contest.
English, Taylor Richards and Williams each dished out team-highs of three assists.
NSU comes into the year ranked No. 23 nationally and is led on the year and is led by Taylor Lewis who is averaging 12.0 ppg over two games, while Tosha Tyler is at 11.0 ppg.
Sarah Green and Katy Harsen lead the team in rebounds with 5.0 rpg, while Taylor Collins leads the team with 2.5 assists per outing through two games.
