Southeastern follows up its Great American Conference Championship with a No. 2 ranking in the latest NCAA Central Region ranking released on Wednesday afternoon.
The latest ranking is the final ranking before the Central region tournament selections are released on Monday morning.
The Savage Storm improved to 44-7 on the season and celebrates its first GAC championship which helped the club climb to No. 2 in the nation according to the NFCA Division II National poll also released on Wednesday.
Southeastern is still chasing Fort Hays State in the top spot with a record of 43-9 on the year.
SE is a spot ahead of in-state rival Central Oklahoma, while Minnesota State-Mankato and Winona State round out the top five.
Minot State checks in at No. 6, followed by Augustana, Missouri Western State, Emporia State and Truman State round out the top 10.
The top eight teams in the final release on May 6 will advance to a regional.
