The Southeastern football team has added 35 soon-to-be freshmen to the roster for the 2011 season as announced on Tuesday.
National Letters of Intent began arriving on Feb. 5, but with icy conditions closing not only the SE campus, but a large number of high schools in the region, the in-flow of paperwork was slow.
The class is fairly well divided on both sides of the ball with 19 defensive players joining the fold, while 15 offensive players and one special team addition.
Nine of those new additions will help bolster the Savage storm secondary, while five offensive newcomers will add depth to the offensive line.
SE is coming off a 3-8 season that saw the Storm catch some bad breaks, losing four of its eight games by a touchdown or less.
