Southeastern pitcher Jessica Seay has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week following her performance over the weekend in a four-game sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Seay was dominant over four appearances, picking up a pair of complete game victories along with a save to move her season record to 5-2.
She tossed her first shutout of the season, shutting down the Bulldogs in a 2-0 win, striking out nine and walking just one.
That one walk would be the only one she issued over 16.0 innings pitched in four games, striking out a total of 21 hitters across from just the one walk while allowing two runs, only one of which was earned.
Seay held SWOSU to a .213 average and finished the weekend with a 0.44 ERA.
The Savage Storm will spend its second-straight weekend at home when it hosts Henderson State on March 4-5 for a four-game series at the Southeastern Softball Field.
