Sherman board meets about coaching search

SHERMAN, TX - The Sherman board met Monday night to discuss a handful of items most notably the coaching search for the football team.

Superintendent Dr. Al Hambrick says they have over 50 applicants, but have yet to narrow down the search.

"We don't have names to share tonight, but we still basically have the same large pool that we had," said Dr. Hambrick. "This is the time to begin looking at those."

Champions Consulting, who is handling the coaching search will begin to narrow down the applicants to four or five and then present them to Sherman ISD.

Dr. Hambrick hopes to present a recommendation to the board for the new head coach by March 24th.
