On the eve of Southeastern's super-regional matchup with Augustana, the NFCA has announced the selection of Jessica Simmons and Sydney Kramer as second team All-Central Region honorees.
Simmons adds the honor to her first team selection by Daktronics, while Kramer picks up her first all-region honor.
Simmons, a sophomore second baseman from Bethel, Okla., leads Southeastern with a .413 batting average after racking up74 hits ont he year, including 19 doubles, two triples and a home run. She has scored a team-best 59 runs and driven in 21 others.
She leads the Great American Conference in steals with 34 and carries .507 on-base percentage and a .559 slugging percentage.
Kramer, a sophomore outfielder from Arlington, Texas, is third on the team with a .381 batting average, but paces the club with 51 RBI and has scored 41 of her own. Of her 74 hits, 15 have been doubles and two have been triples.
Kramer carries a .402 on-base percentage and a .479 slugging percentage on the season.
SE opens its super-regional matchup against Augustana at noon on May 16 in a best-of-three series with game two scheduled for noon on May 17 with the "if necessary" game to follow at 2:30 p.m.
