Southeastern Softball Set for GAC Tournament

No. 4 Southeastern will set out in search of a Great American Conference Tournament championship when it opens the event with a 2 p.m. matchup on April 25 against Southwestern Oklahoma State in Bentonville, Ark.

The tournament will continue through Saturday April 27 when it will crown a champion.

The Savage Storm come into the weekend as the top seed after winning its first GAC regular season title with a 25-3 record in league play to go with a league-best 40-7 mark overall.

SE is also currently ranked No. 2 in the Central Region and No. 4 in the nation.

SWOSU enters the weekend as the No. 8 seed after going 10-24 in conference with a 16-34 mark overall.

A Southeastern victory in the opener would earn it a chance to face the winner between fourth-seeded Arkansas-Monticello and fifth-seeded Southern Arkansas. That game would be at 8 p.m. on Thursday

East Central heads the other side of the bracket as the No. 2 seed and will face Ouachita Baptist in its opener, with the winner set to face the winner between third-seeded Arkansas Tech and sixth-seeded Henderson State.

Please check the GAC Tournament Central Page for more details on game times for the weekend.
